When I was little, I watched my father play with cameras and take all of these brilliant photos. He’d take me to the zoo to take pictures of the animals and show me all the lens and the relationship of shutter speed to aperture. My mom never went to a family function without her camera and I could never graduate anything or move up in life without getting my picture taken by her.

So, naturally, I picked up a camera too. I began to look at lighting, the brilliant things that it could do and how to manipulate it. I learned the dance between shutter speed and aperture. Photoshop became an old friend and my camera an extra limb.

Over the course of my life, I have been the photography editor of my high school newspaper, interned for a wedding photographer in Chicago, am published in Wordeater and graduated with a minor in photography from Columbia College Chicago in 2016.
